I was reading the November 2nd issue of Rolling Stone today, where they had an interview with Tim Kaine (oh to long for the days when he was still the potential next Vice-President). They spoke of some of his favorite bands and one he mentioned was Cornershop.
I saw Cornershop open for Oasis in 1997. Their song, “Brimful of Asha” had already been a hit on the alternative radio station, so I was familiar with their sound. What I never knew before reading this interview, however, was that they had covered “Norwegian Wood” in Punjabi.
