I can ride my bike with no handlebars

Flobots released this ditty in 2007.  The track is nominally a rap song, but the descriptor doesn’t really fit.

The song starts innocently enough, “I can ride my bike with no handlebars”

and increases to “I can take apart a remote control and I can almost put it back together”

before getting deeper and angrier.

Taken as a whole, the song seems to be about both the good and bad that can happen when one is given free will.  The point being, that will has to be free, even if the consequences can be dire.  They can orchestrate a dire act, but they can also discover that they can ride their bike with no handlebars…no handlebars…no handlebars.

Just try to listen to this song and not have the hook stuck in your head.
